No Brakes A 10-year retrospective of Big Car’s work, including photos, artifacts, video, audio, and interactives at the University of Indianapolis art gallery.
Big Car Collaborative celebrated the milestone of our 10th year as an arts nonprofit with an exhibit at the Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center Gallery in September of 2014. The opening event, attended by more than 500 people, included a variety of Big Car-connected performances in the adjacent recital hall. This show visually, aurally, tactilely, and probably even aromatically represents the first ten years of Big Car’s existence, from our roots in Surrealist art all the way to community-based public art, socially engaged art, and creative placemaking.
