Gnat Bowden is a conceptual researcher whose work investigates Black Americana, racism in radical space, and the American community. With the goals of critically examining the legacy of white supremacy, power structures, and systems of thought, this collective liberation project examines community structures, cancel culture, extremism, and reflections of violence and racism. Bowden uses personal experience through performance practice to conceptualize the ways in which Black people experience community on a physical, spiritual, and metaphysical level, calling for a system of changes and freedom from economic oppression.
