NNAMDI OGBONNAYA is a multi-instrumentalist composer, producer, song-writer, and performer in Chicago. He is a veteran of the Chicago DIY music community, having played a variety of primary roles in approximately 15 projects over the past decade. He toured extensively with those projects in the U.S.A., Mexico, Canada, and Europe. Collectors’ Night: Make an Offer
Collectors' Night at Listen Hear is presented on the First Thursday of every month. This offers an intimate environment for conversation with the Artist- giving collectors a first chance look at the exhibition. In the series “Make An Offer” , Jacob Gardner utilizes illustration, printmaking and sound as media to discuss the depth of the human condition. Drums & Drones is a sound and light performative installation featuring drummer Brian Chase (Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and video artist Ursula Scherrer. Sonically, the aim of the project is to investigate the subtle acoustic properties of drum resonance. From these subtleties, expansive meditative soundscapes are created. Similarly, the visual component examines elements of found forms, whether in filmed objects or light itself.
