Big Car Gallery ends its 7-year run

After hosting new art shows on the First Friday of each month for seven years and bringing hundreds of eclectic music shows, readings, film screenings, performances, parties and events to Indianapolis, Big Car Gallery closed in Fountain Square in December of 2011.

Meanwhile, Big Car — the organization — is certainly as busy as ever, operating the Service Center for Culture and Community — an 11,500-square foot former tire shop in the Lafayette Square neighborhood — and working on projects in other areas of the city. Our home base is now at the English Foundation Building in Downtown Indianapolis, along the Indianapolis Cultural Trail. This location is also the home of one of our strongest supporters: the Central Indiana Community Foundation.
